How to Choose Mini-Frames?

If you are ordering section frames from our production for the first time, choosing their size requires a thorough approach. You need to consider the following characteristics of section frames:

Choosing the Size by "Height":

• Determine which hive frames you plan to install the section frames into.
• Measure the internal dimensions of the hive frames, considering that the thickness of the bars may vary.
• For Dadant hive frames, heights of 125 mm and 132 mm are offered for installation in 2 rows.
• For store frames, height sizes vary: 110, 115, and 125 mm, and installation in one row is assumed.
• For Ruth frames (435x230), a height size of 100 mm is offered, with installation in two rows.

Choosing the Size by "Width":

• Section frames are presented, dividing the hive frame into 6 and 4 parts.
• Two width sizes: 68 mm and 102 mm.
• It is important to note that for frames with a width of 102 mm, cardboard packaging is currently not available.

Choosing the Type of Section Frames:

• 5 types of mini-frames are presented: with side grooves, with upper and lower grooves, with universal grooves, with holes for wire, and without grooves and holes.
• Differences in types are related to the installation of wax and the amount of wax laid.
• Detailed information on each type can be found in the instruction section.

Allowances:

• Sizes of mini-frames by "height" have a tolerance of -0.5 mm, and by "width" +0.5 mm. For example, frames 68x115 may actually be sized 114.8 x 68.3 mm.

- Section frames are supplied in stacks of 50 pieces, so order the number of stacks.
- Cardboard boxes and PET containers are also provided in stacks.
- Birch bark boxes are ordered individually.
